Gotta be Maggie Grace. Not the hugest loss in the world but still will be disappointing if everyone shows up again at some point but Shannon.

Hooray for zombies!

In honor of Halloween, we're dropping this spoilertastic bomb on all you TV lovers:

A father who is supposed to be dead is coming back.

And it looks like he might be aliiive, baby!

Spies on of one of the shows we love best—Gossip Girl, Lost, Dexter or Supernatural—tell us that the father of one of the hot TV men pictured above (Matthew is one of them) will be making his grand return in the next few months. And it probably goes without saying, but it's gonna be shocking.

So who is it?

I'm going to give you the answer—yes, the answer, as in the name!—in today's Spoiler Chat, which will post later this afternoon.

In the meantime, a few clues to get you guessing:

This father is good-looking.

• New Lost Regular! Executive Producer Damon Lindelof tells USA Today: "Yeah, Lapidus is defintiely a series regular this season. Jeff Fahey was just a recurring character up through last year. Now, whether Lapidus makes it until the end of the season is anyone's guess, but he's defintely one of the A Team this year." Lindelof also says there is no premiere date yet for the new season, and it's possible the show could move from Wednesdays to another night.

Matthew in Seattle: Kristin, Did you see that Maggie Grace is returning to Lost? Was she the holdout you were talking about? It seems like she said no at first (because she was shooting movies) but now changed her mind and they are going to insert her into previously shot scenes.

Whaaaaa? That's a crazy theory! On another (totally unrelated, of course) note: Remember that time Michael Cera resisted joining the upcoming Arrested Development movie (because he was too busy with other movies), but then some diehard fan posing as a TV columnist outed him and he end up signing on? All I'm saying is, you're welcome, TV fans! In all seriousness, I'm just happy we get to see Shannon/Maggie again. Flight 815 would not be the same without her. Here's hoping this time around she'll get to grow old with Sayid and have some ridiculously hot babies.

Anyone else counting the minutes till Lost returns?

Perhaps I just need to be exposed to him more because it usually takes me some time to fall in love with a character. Seeing as it's season 6, I have my reservations as to newcomers and changes in the cast roster.

Marcela in Portugal: Is it true that Naveen Andrews is leaving Lost?

Not sure how this one got misconstrued, but no. Naveen has taken a role on NBC's Law & Order: SVU, but it is only for one episode as a guest star. He's not that distraught over the news that Maggie Grace hasn't yet signed on to return! (Read that here if you haven't yet.) (posted below) My Lost moles assure me Naveen is very much a part of the final Lost season. And we might even see something good happen to Sayid for once.

Maggie Grace Not Confirmed to Return to Lost

Update, 10:24 a.m.: An ABC spokesperson confirms that there is no deal in place for Maggie Grace to return to Lost at this time.

Poor Boone! Looks like he's still sisterless for the time being.

Despite recent reports that Lost's hottest bikini-wearer ever, Maggie Grace, is coming back to the ABC cult fave, I am now told exclusively that Maggie has not yet signed on to return for the final season.

A rep for the actress tells me: "It has not been confirmed that [Maggie] is returning [to Lost]. She has been asked, but nothing more than that."

So does this mean she is the Lost "holdout" I've been teasing for a few weeks?

Confession time: Yes, Maggie was the Lostie I was referring to when I wrote the blind item about a "holdout" among the original cast who had been offered a return to the series but had not accepted. Reliable inside sources tell me Maggie is the only original castmember who was asked a couple months ago to come back to Lost and opted not to return. (We know from Harold Perrineau himself that he has not yet been asked.) Multiple sources--including Maggie's rep--confirm that Maggie has not yet shot any new scenes for the final Lost season.

However, according to her rep, Maggie has a very good reason for not yet coming back to Lost: "She did three movies back to back to back and just got back from filming last Thursday."

Maggie certainly does have a lot going on these days on the big screen—she's playing Cameron Diaz's younger sister in the Tom Cruise flick Knight & Day, Adrien Brody's love interest in The Experiment, and she was just honored on Thursday by Variety as one of "10 Actors to Watch."

Still, something tells me I'm not the only fan hoping Maggie can clear some time in her busy schedule to return to Lost island. Or more accurately, I should say to Oceanic Flight 815.

(Psst...That's your cue to holler in the comments if you feel the same.)

Meanwhile, for those of you who've been asking why the awesome new Lost promo shows nothing of the new season: I'm told by insiders that producers have asked that not a single new frame be shown before the series returns. Not a one. Things are that hush-hush. And hopefully that good.

At the risk of being vilified by all the Maggie Grace fans, I honestly won't be disappointed if 'Shannon' doesn't return in S6.

And also in all honesty, if Boone, Mr Eko, Libby, Ana Lucia, Charlie, Charlotte, Daniel, Rousseau, Alex, Micheal etc didn't show up again I wouldn't be disappointed either.

Their 'popularity' factor or lack there of has never been an issue for me when they departed their mortal coils on the island. It was their individual character arcs and what they contibuted to the overall story line that ultimately mattered.

I understand some character arcs where cut short because of issues with the actors playing them but generally I think TPTB dealt with those 'exits' plot wise in a reasonable way.

Other characters though, such as Shannon, Boone and yes even Charlie for example, had to die when they did to move the story forward.

While I think it's a nice idea to give a 'nod' to all the characters who have passed on in the final season, I hope it's done in such a way that doesn't cheat us of the shock and 'grief' we went through initially for those we each personally favoured.

I think I would be excited to see familiar faces again, in the proper context of course.

After all, I don't think there's another show that takes more importance in characters than Lost. This is the foundation of everything...literally. I think a nod to the massive endeavors from these actors/characters would be nice, even if they don't deliver that much storyline. It's almost like seeing an old friend, no?

I'm actually pretty excited at the prospect of seeing previous characters, even if they were a bit annoying like Shannon lol. Given the recent spoilers, I think It's pretty clear that the plane ends up in L.A. this time, and it'll be interesting to see why things aren't like nothing ever happened.
